Adimulia Hotel Experience

By Brenda Lu - 12:17 AM

I’ve decided to be active in blogging. While my previous posts have been concentrating on fashion / makeup, I have decided to transition it to Travel & Lifestyle, although I do not have much money to travel fancy places, but hey I still can travel to nearby low budget with fantastic views and write about it. Hopefully I will stray true to my words by actively blogging.

I have just discovered something about myself. I enjoy exploring places

Couple of weeks ago my friends and I went to Pandang Island in which I am going to talk about it later in the next blog, while now I am going to write about my experience during my weekend stay at Adimulia Hotel, a new five star hotel located at the heart of Medan, Indonesia. The location is very strategic, around 15 min walk to one of the biggest shopping malls in Medan, 15-20 min drive to train station & second largest malls in Medan, 1 min walk to nearest Lippo mall and Starbucks.

Anyway before we start, I am still contemplating whether I should write my blog in Bahasa Indonesia or English, so please let me know my readers which one is more convenient to you.

City view from 16th Floor.

I am not that typical rich kids who can sleepover at a fancy hotel whenever they like. Most of my staycation at a local hotel are sponsored by either birthday event or my boyfriend, so I am utterly grateful. This is the second time I have stayed here so I think I can express more things. Last Saturday, my family (mother, brother and I) including my boyfriend stayed at the 16th floor which supposed to be the highest floor in this hotel, but apparently there is 17th floor and I think that must be the presidential suit, just a guess.

Unfortunately I only decided to write about my staycation after we were about to check out, so I don’t really have proper room pictures to post here, but I do record the whole room for my instagram story before we messed it up. If you wish to find out hopefully I can attach it here, but if there is no attachment below then please visit my instagram to view the room.

As usual we (Indonesians) love to cramp up in a room, so we booked 1 room with twin beds (queen size) and that’s just enough for our mini bodies. The room is spacious and I noticed 16th floor room is much taller and more spacious compared to those in lower floors. Everything is squeaky clean, the bedroom, the bathroom, even the windows in second floor (not as many people go there because that is only for afternoon and dine-in restaurant), I found no dust. The room service is also great, we requested to change our towels to new one twice since there are four of us and none of us brought towel.

Fun fact : the thing I most look forward to staying in the hotel is the BATHROOM. How about you?  I enjoy seeing the interior of bathroom and they inspire me a lot on how I want my future bathroom to look like. I am okay with or without bath tub.

The hotel has great facility all around, there are swimming pools (not so big and sometimes crowded), gym, indoor badminton court, ping pong table, jacuzzi, sauna and spa (they are complementary except for massage you will need to pay additional Rp. 300k++).

Le Fancy Jacuzzi place I wish I knew sooner

Very clean and impressed.

Nice kids playground

The indoor pingpong and badminton court with very big mirror (I suppose to dance).

For GYM Lovers out there

The jacuzzi, sauna, gym and other facilities except for swimming pool are open at 8 am - 11 am in the morning, but for the afternoon I am not sure when they start opening but they close at 10 pm/11 pm.

Oh, they have movie night too on certain days, while I was staying, they were playing AVATAR, but I didn’t get to watch as I prefer staying cozy in my room. If you are asking me about the jacuzzi, sauna and spa experience, no, I didn’t get to try them. I only know about the facility when I am about to check out around 11 am, oh I wish I knew sooner.

Please though If you are going to stay in this hotel, the perfect time to check in is 12 afternoon and for that day you can enjoy fully the whole facilities.

About the buffet breakfast, they offer range of breakfast but focusing more towards local cuisines rather than western / chinese cuisines. They still serve western cuisines like omelette, pancakes, sausages, breads, yoghurt and all but the main dishes are mostly local cuisines. About the taste, I think it was average, not my favourite kind of breakfast, but hey some people think the food is alright, so different people different taste buds. If you compare it to Marriott hotel breakkie, most people would say Adi Mulia serves better. As usual one room for two ticket breakfast, but if you have kids and you want additional breakfast then you will need to purchase the breakfast for Rp. 150k++/person.

I have stayed at Marriott Hotel before and this place is much newer and better, you will feel it.

Below are some Instagram worthy spots.

Love love love the spacious lobby and receptionist area! you can take some great photos with great interiors here.

Above photos were taken at 7th floor besides swimming pool area.

This is located at second floor, just use the escalator and you will get here.

Fully recommended, cheaper that the other older 5 star hotels.
Another FUN FACT. President of Indonesia always stays here whenever he visits Medan.
